Maintenance & Care
Ironing Felt
When ironing felt, we recommend starting at a low temperature with no steam, then increase gradually until you find the best setting. Synthetic felt will melt when exposed to high heats, while wool may scorch after long exposure.
To accelerate the ironing process you can also use a buffer cloth between the felt and iron. This will protect your felt material when using a higher iron setting with steam.

The fisherman uses the yellow and navy blue felt blend. Just so lovely with which to work…it keeps its shape with cutting and handling, but the felt is soft and pliable. Loved working with this wool blend felt for my wool appliqué. I found the gold a little too bright so I soaked the piece in water with a little bleach and achieved the colour I wanted. I usually use all-wool for my appliqué but this blend is great and more economical. Thanks Rosanna
